For those who require the latest in personal protection, the Super Light Weight D3-1 Dyneema Body Armour Upgrade Plate to be used with level IIIa vest is 15 times stronger then steel and half the weight of a ceramic plate. It weighs only 1.38kg.

These plates are placed into pockets supplied in tactical covert and overt vests located one to the front and one on the back of the outer carrier. They are additional upgrades and will achieve the NIJ level III rated protection when used in conjunction with NIJ Level IIIA SAPs (Soft Armour Panels) supplied with tactical carriers.

7.62 x 51mm Ball (NATO) Multi shot and will stop a lead round.
