VestGuard NIJ Level IIIA (3A) Overt Sand Xtreme

The New 2009 Overt Xtreme vest offers upgraded enhancements over the standard Navy overt. These enhancements include:

Removable Bicep Protectors (both arms)
In war, mines and other high explosive devices are used to inflict chaos. We wish we could protect the whole body, but this is not practical. VestGuard has used its feedback from soldiers in active service and introduced Bicep protectors. Designed to protect the Biceps, central point for muscles and tendons in the arm. This helps give those injured in conflict that extra chance to live a better life should this happen.

Removable Throat Protectors
From feedback, during conflict debris can blow up in the face and throat causing irreversible and even life threatening injuries. This upgrade helps to reduce that threat and gives extra protection.

IR (Infra Red) Identification straps for Friend or Foe
During dusk and night-time manoeuvrs it is sometimes difficult to tell who's on the battle field. These stras provide the simple solution to allow such individuals as snipers to identify who's on their side.

Quick Release Belt Buckle
VestGuard knows that in war the blast from a bomb has the potential to rip the body armour off your body leaving you helpless against the oncoming shrapnel. To combat this threat VestGuard has installed a new quick release belt buckle system that has been designed to hold the vest together with easy donning and doffing capabilities. A simple yet highly effective addition.
